So here's the big news with pictures I announced earlier: the boyfriend and I just bought an apartment! It is located in a lovely 1930s building in an area we love and it has lots of original features and those hardwood herringbone floors I adore. All we have to do is move, paint and redecorate. We're so excited and I'll finally be able to create a corner of my own. My blog will undoubtedly feature lots of interior inspiration over the next few months!

Herringbone floors, how I envy you! An a nice balcony? We were looking at some apartments recently (we want to change for a slightly bigger one) - but maybe next year!

Prachtige originele elementen, vooral ook die mooie vloer in de gang. En dan een Smeg-oven... wat wil een mens nog meer! :D
Proficiat en succes met alles!

How exciting! New spaces, especially soon to be your own, offer so many possibilities.
Although I live out in the country, I do follow quite a few city blogs -- I love seeing new and interesting places, trends, etc...
Thank you for your kind comment on my blog today. Demie is a sweetheart and I heart her blog. :)
@ all: thank you so much for all your wishes and kind comments. I'm really excited, but also quite busy so blogging has taken a back seat the past week.
@ designtraveller: Welcome! So glad you popped in! I like your blog a lot! Good luck with your apartment search!
@ carole: yes, the kitchen gives out onto a small balcony with a view of gardens and trees. Even though we couldn't afoord a house with a garden, I'm glad I've got a tiny bit of nature nearby. Plus I plan to put some nice plants on the balcony.
