Question

via unknown

Dear visitor, I know you stop by every now and again, my statistics tell me so, but I have no idea who you really are. With my blog up and running for about three months now, I would like to ask you for some feedback. Who are you? Why do you visit my blog? What do you like about it and what could be improved? Do you only stop by to look at and collect images or do you actually read the words as well?  Do you get inspired? Please, if you have some time, I'd love to hear from you.

Hi! I have been giving you feedbacks for a while now... I like your blog because it is minimalistic ( something I also am but only deeeep inside), because it has wonderful pictures and because the things you write have an appeal to me. It feels like you are a cultivated, interesting and sweet person. Please do not take this the wrong way- but sometimes its nice if you are giving feedbacks to the feedbacks you get. Other blogs also like to be visited and commented and followed too...
Have a wonderful weekend

Hi Demie!!! How great to hear from you again. You are my most loyal of blog-commentators!

Also, thanks for the tip. I'm not upset at all. Look --> :-)) I do try to answer all comments I get, but maybe I forgot a few? I must say I'm REALLY happy because today I saw that you wrote a post on your blog I could actually understand. YAY! It would be great if you wrote in English more often. I also made myself a follower of your blog.

Have a great weekend! I'll 'see' you when I'm back from my holiday.

Hello!
I´m from Belgium, keen on everything inspiring: people, cities, objects, colours, flowers, nature, fashion and so on, and so on... And here on your pages I see things I didn´t see before (in magazines, on blogs or simply the internet), so that´s very interesting. Blogs are so very personal and I think you just should go on the way you do :)
Thanks for all!
Best regards, Marjolijn

Hello! I'm from Sweden and i recently found this page through a link from Lotta Agaton, a Swedish interior designer that I also follow. I really like your blog, the similarity pictures are fantastic! I always read what you wrigt as well. It would be interesting to know a bit more about you too, where do you live and what are you doing besides bloging. Maybe you've written it in some of your earlier posts, but i would be fun to hear about. Thank you for a nice, inspirational and happy blog! Take care // Jenny

Hi Jenny

Lovely to hear from you! I am a big fan of Lotta Agaton's blog too! I am glad you like my blog and particularly enjoy the similarity posts! I have written a little bit about myself in earlier posts, but I definitely plan to write more about who I am in the future. Keep checking in!

xx E.

Dear E.,

i really like your blog, and the reason i visit is that you see thing in a way that is to some degree similar to the way i see things, and yes, i get inspired. I don't always read the words, but usually i do. :)

(also, thank very, very much for your encouraging comment on my blog.)

just fyi, when i started my new blog, for about 5 months i didn't get traffic to amount to anything despite my daily postings... a small wonder that i kept on blogging. but then came a kind of a breakthough... and i think that depends on two things... one being regular and good posts (i think you do that well), and the other being putting the word out... people simply don't find you if you don't tell them you exist... and i think the best way to do so is to comment on other blogs... on posts that you like, posts that move you or make you think, etc... bloggers don't get offended by that... :) :) and if you do so, then it's just a matter of time.

(well, i'm still not a "big blogger" to give you advice, but that's just how i see this.)

So i hope you you keep doing this blog thing (but only if you want to do it), because you're quite special, i'm pretty sure about that. and you are very sensitive, too, that is a good thing.

hugs,
agnes

Hi Agnes

Great to hear from you! I'm really grateful for your very useful comments and tips. I'm also flattered that you say we 'see' things in a similar way at times. I've indeed noticed that a few times. At times I've collected images I plan to use on my blog and then notice you've already posted something similar. Great minds think alike! :-)) It's always a dilemma then to decide whether or not to go ahead with what I had planned or not.

Also thanks a lot for the tips on getting more 'traffic' for my blog. It was one of the things I was hoping to get an answer to with this post. Much much appreciated! I'll give your tip a go. I was always rather shy about leaving comments on other people's blogs or getting the word out about my own blog. (I'm quite an introvert by nature.)

'See' you soon in blogland and good luck again with your end of term projects. Let us know how you went, when everything is finished!

Love
E.

Hi, dear E.,

thanks for the answer.

:) :)

Whenever you have plans for a post, and see that I have posted something similar, just rest assured and go ahead with posting it... I'm sure what you post will be different from mine in some ways, it will be more you.

I'm very glad you found the blogging advice helpful, and I hope it will work for you, too. Leaving comments on other blogs can be a bit tiresome at times... especially if you are a bit shy normally... and it takes time, too... but remember how good it is for you to get positive feedback. It must be as good for other bloggers, too. Many of them never reply, but that doesn't necessarily mean your comment is not welcome. Also, you may find a few like-minded folks, and maybe even some friends. So, give it a go, and you'll see whether it works for you.

Yes, see ya soon in Blogland! :) :)

hugs,
agnes
:)

p.s. Thanks for your kind wishes... well, i just failed my art history exam yesterday, but actually, i don't really mind it... i'll take another shot at it in October. :)
